Activity Department Managers

Meet and greet guest upon arrival as well as during their stay. Activity managers are responsible for the organizations and implementation of activity program schedules, special events, and themed events or dinners. Activity managers must be willing to supervise and work with various departments. The work days are long with breaks during the day. Managers are expected to hold the staff to a very high expectation in guest service as well as enthusiasm. The activity department works very closely with every department but most frequently with the dining room, cabin services, and office. The ultimate satsifaction of the guest is a direct result of the success of the activities department and managers. Directors should have experience working with children, strong organizational skills, dependable, and working as a hands-on manager.

Activity Staff

Greet the guests as they arrive at the Club. Escort guests to their cabins or onto their recreation activities to ensure a high level of customer service and guest satisfaction. Long periods of standing, heavy public contact, social skills a must.

Food & Beverage Departments

Food & Beverage is the largest department within the operations of the Club Getaway organization. F&B operations range from high volume family style dining rooms, & outdoor tent buffets, to elegant outdoor wedding receptions and corporate events. F&B is a great department to start work in as it provides abundant opportunities and career development skills.

Kitchen Utility(Dishwashers): The job where it all begins and ends in F&B. Responsible for dish/pot machine operation, employee dining room operation, maintaining sanitation standards. Continual movement, heavy lifting required.

Dining Room Attendant: Set-up, serve, and clean-up buffets and dining facilities. Respond to requests from the guests, plate the food and present it, clear tables, stock side stands and beverages. This is a high volume and fast paced position. Lots of public contact, long periods of standing, lifting required. Split shift work.

F & B Management Positions: Scheduling staff and instructing meal set-ups, service, and clean-up. Daily inventory control and weekly orders. Coordinate with other departments for special events, and weddings. Maintain very high sanitation standards. Enforce organization rules with the Food & Beverage staff. Participate in staff event planning and implementation. Participate in manager meetings. Provide required weekly reports on time and in a professional manner. Positions require very long periods of standing, and a very fast paced environment.

Baker-High cookie and brownie production as well as specialized pastries, dessert cakes, pies, breads, and various other desserts. Must maintain high sanitation standards, heavy lifting, long periods of standing.

Cooks: Our F & B operations have different levels of cook positions: cook help, prep, batch cooking, line on broiler, grill, saute, expediting, wheel, eggs, and station cooks. Cooks may be assigned to various kitchen responsibilities depending on skill level, experience and necessity. Must maintain recipe, production, portion and sanitation standards. Long periods of standing, heavy lifting required.

Rooms

Working in the Cabin Services Department allows the staff to enjoy the great outdoors, and meet many of the guest.

Cabin Service Attendant: The CSAs are the backbone of the Cabin Service Department. CSAs prepare the guest cabins for occupancy. CSAs work in a total team environment helping one another. CSAs work requires constant movement, bending and lifting. CSA staff are often called upon to fill-in in activities departments during high volume recreation days, therefore strong communication skills and social skills are required.

Cabin Service Management Positions: Extensive public contact with our guests at the front desk, and setting a positive first impression of service are the mainstays of the CSA's duties. Duties include ordering inventory, scheduling staff, inspecting rooms, coordinating production, and enforcing company policies. Weekly reports and managers meetings are required. Long periods of standing, and heavy lifting a requirement.

Concessions

Concessions Attendant: Work in boutique/gift shop type setting selling shirts, sodas, snack foods. Lots of public contact and long periods of standing. High pressure at times with high customer volumes in a noisy environment.

Concessions Inventory Assistant: Stock various automated retail outlets in various location around the property twice a day. Must have a strong independent work ethic. Heavy lifting and fast paced environment. Able to take instructions and complete assigned task.

Office

Accounting Clerk: Assists with accounting functions, payables, receivables, payroll, audit deposits, cashier balancing, daily reports. Accounting experience required, computerized spreadsheet experience helpful.

Sales: Phone sales via outgoing and incoming calls. Assist with brochure design, show promotions, as well as various other sales opportunities. Meet and great guest. Work with the sales team to meet sales goals, willing to work swing shifts.

Administrative Assistant: Must have a wide range of office skills including: answering phones, conrresponding via email, posting, packaging, data entry, ordering office supplies, maintenancing the office to insure organization, and taking notes during management meetings.

Engineering/Maintenance

Club Getaway needs experienced trades personnel such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters and landscaping. Painters and general maintenance. Our maintenance personnel do mainly preventive maintenance and repair work. They must be skilled enough to work on a wide variety of equipment, structures and designs from the historic to the modern. Must be 19 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Copies of licenses and certifications plus a detailed work history of trade experience should be submitted with the application. Some Maintenance positions are year-round positions.
